Need Advise on a Gift!!

A friend of mine moved to Florida about 2 years ago and she is now getting married. What I am wondering is what to get her for her wedding. I actually wanted to take a trip down for the wedding, but it was going to be a little more expensive then I thought and with trying to save for my wedding it just sn't possible.

So my question is.....do I send her an actual gift for her wedding or money and if so how much?? She is have the ceremony at her house the reception at the Hilton or Marriot (can't remember which one).

Any advise would be a great help! Sorry for the long post!

i would send either a registry item or cash! if it is a good friend and two people invited i would say 100.00

Since you are flying to go to the wedding, I would just send her a gift from her registry. I would spend about $100.

I would just send her money. I think $100-$150 is appropriate, since you're not attending the wedding.

I think you should give her 100.00. Since you arent going to be there, I don't think you have to go crazy.

Thanks for all the advise girls! She actually didn't register anywhere that's why I had no idea what to do. I was thinking of giving $100 but just wasn't sure if the was enough, so thanks for confirming my thoughts!

I just got the invite for her shower so I will send her a gift for that, again she is not registered so I don't know what to get. But a friend of mine works at Mikasa so I will just pick up something there. I was a little annoyed that I got an invite to the shower b/c she shouldn't expect me come down for the shower and the wedding so she obviously just wants a gift!

maybe she just didnt want to leave you out , since you are friends...in any case, for the shower you seem all set, but if not, they have those throw blankets with the bride and grooms name in things remembered, i have one (not for our wedding yet..) and love it!

or you cant go wrong, with a tiffanys bowl or something like that- they arent all that expensive either

good luck!

We are friends but not close friends and we only talk every few months, but I see your point.

I love those blankets at Things remembered. I got one for our friends for their engagment a few years ago. They always have it on display at their house!
