Need an affordable venue PLEASE.........

seem to find a wedding hall or place that wont cost more that 15,000 - 20,000 for 450 people and allow outside catering. Any suggestions PLEASE! It could be in LI, queens, westchester, etc.. Please

Thats ALOT of people, and for it to cost between $15,000-20,000 that would meant it would have to cost between $33-44 per person. First of all not alot of venues hold that many ppl so you would have to narrow it down to the few that do. ANd here is the thing i'll tell you, the bigger rooms they will charge more. For example JT has a room where they can hold about 500 guests but they charge more for that room than the other rooms.

There are RH's where i say you can get it for $55-65 pp, but around $35-40 pp is going to be hard. Thats close to what alot of ppl pay for showers and RD's but without open bar just wine and beer.

Is there anyway you can cut down that list. At first its hard, but i think theres definitely ppl that can be cut from there.

ANd for a place to allow outside catering, well no actual catering hall allows this, not the typical ones bc they wont allow food catered from elsewhere. Its different type of venues that allow it, and if so you have to pay them a site fee, and on top of that pay the caterer for food and alcohol, and then the problem is with alot of those type of venues you have to rent the chairs, tables, linens, and so on.

I had 275 guests and that alone we didnt have as many options as to where to do it, i mean there are a decent amount but we knew there were alot of places we couldn't even look.

i know of a place in queens you can get it for around $40pp but i dont think they even hold close to 450 ppl

thank you, yeah i am looking to cut down to about 350, i know i want 20, 000 max, but i probably could do 30,000 if i really have to. it will be good to see your recommendations anywat, i am actually excited that i joined this website. Thanks.....

honestly the only places i can think of right now in the $30-45 per person price range is riccardo's, MAYBE Dante's but not sure what the max is for their rooms and if they can fit anywhere from 300-450. They are both located in queens, you can call to check

the only other thing is if you can find a very affordable caterer and rent a loft in the city maybe LIC with a fee of anywhere from $2k-5k some higher but usually that range. But these are raw spaces so im afraid the price will still go up bc of having to rent most of the stuff i mentioned above. But its worth a shot and doesnt hurt to look. ALot of places i saw had an 8 hour fee of around 2k some 3k-5k

I remember watching one of those wedding shows, and they had it catered by this restaurant for like $15 pp, the wedding planner found this place. So maybe doing something like that.

That's a TON of people, but Smithtown Landing Country Club is incredibly affordable and they'll throw in many things to make the price even better. Call over to Rich or Donna and see if they can tell you how many people can fit in the Merrywood Cottage room.

You might be better off renting a site and tents to accommodate 450 pp. Then doing the catering separately. I'd contact a wedding coordinator company ASAP.

I think that if you dont use a catering hall it will come out more expensive since you have to rent EVERYTHING!!!

Consider cutting your guest list and doing it in the off season. Thats your best bet to being within your budget.

That is a LOT of ppl, and rememebr the more ppl you have the more you will pay bc you pay per head.

I think Brentwood Country Club has pretty affordable all-inclusive packages... you could check them out
