Need an ob/gyn in Huntington area

Hi,

I'll be moving to my FH's house soon. My curretn ob/gyn is in Southwestern Nassau and I'll be moving to the Huntington/E. Northport area. Too far to travel, I'm not thrilled with her and want someone I like as we plan to try to conceive as soon as possible (God willing) after the wedding.

Any suggestions?

I am getting ready to change as well ... Dr. Robert Scanlon was recommended by some of DH's friends wives and he also grew up with DH's brother.

I have not made the change yet so I really can't say personally anything about him.

I can tell you about Dr Scanlon, he is my OB/GYN, and he is AMAZING!!!! He is so REAL, very calm and supportive, he never makes you feel like you;re asking a stupid question and makes a concerted effort to gedt to know you, asks about issues that you've brought up in the past, asks about you rkids, your family, your job, etc. The best thing abou thim is tha the other doctors in his practice are just as warm and caring, as are the front office staff. I cannt say enough about this practice, I woul say it is the MOST loved practce in Huntington! He didn't deliver either of my 2 children, but e TRULY is hopig to deliver the next one, and I REALLY believe that he means it!!!

one more thing, there is a practice in Huntington that I have heard REALLY negative things about for MANY years (I worked in a doctor's office and use to hear all the behind the scene horror stories and he is NOT LIKED AT ALL by other staff docs). I will tell you about the practice in more detail if you FM me, I just don't want to drag his name throught the mud on this post.
