Need An Officiant

I am clueless about an officiant. How far in advance should I book one? What is the usual price range? Can anyone recommend one? Thanks!

We started booking ours early just because we wanted to find the 'right' officiant. When we found him we booked him that night.
Ranges are anywhere from $300 - $500? Not sure.
Hands down...my recommendation is Father Tom McCormick. He's a vendor on LIW.

he was the first vendor that we booked. We booked him over a year in advance and its a good thing because he had 2 other weddings on the same day, but since ours is at 5:30... he can make it.

We're using Father Allmen. His church is located in Hampton Bays, but he's a traveling priest so to speak. The charge is $500 dollars and it all goes to the church.

I second Father Tom, he's very laidback and easy to talk to. We met with him for and booked him on the spot!!

We used Pastor Mike Cassara (Pastor Mike Weddings ) and he was awesome! We paid $475 but I think he's usually $375 (it was an extra $100 since he was traveling to Westchester). There's more info in my review if you need: Review

I ssecond Pastor Mike Cassara. We met with him when jenniesunshine recommended him and loved him. Vendors here range $400-$700. His current rate is $450.

i don't understand why officiants want so much $$ to perform a ceremony. we interviewed a few and they wanted $500!! i mean that just seems to pricey to me. (I'm not a cheap person, i just think it's a bit much.) What happened to the days of $100-150 officiants. :-P

We are interfaith and will have no religious references in our ceremony.

I'm using Father Joe DeVincenzo. We met with him last night and he was great! We got along so well and he was perfect. He's young, funny, and just a great guy. It's $500, whereas most places are between $400 - $600, so it's about the normal.... Let me know if you wnat any details!

I second Rev. Deb, she is great! If you do a search, you'll see that there are a number of brides who recommended her as well.

Janine Burns. She is a little on the pricey side ($600) but really puts a lot of effort into your ceremony. We wanted something non-denominational but still meaninful. She seems to be doing a great job thus far in terms of communication, idea, suggestions, etc.

Reverend Joe DeVincenzo, he's affiliated with Giorgio's but works everywhere, he charged me $500. He is a reformed Catholic priest and marries all denominations.

Contact Father Tom. He is an ordained Catholic Priest and works with a Rabbi when needed. I believe there is a picture on his website of him performing a ceremony with a Rabbi.
