NEED BM ADVISE- with poll!

So my BMs were supposed to order their dresses in December and then I decided I wanted to change my colors so I told them to hold off until Februaryish...Well, here we are in May and I told them a month or so ago and then reminded them last week that all monies were due Friday...I have only received money from two girls (out of 6). I extended the deadline till this Friday, if I don't receive money, can I kick them out??? I don't understand what the big deal is, people have known about this for MONTHS!!! It takes 12 weeks for the dresses to come in and my wedding is in October...HELP!

If they don't have a dress then they can't be in the party...if they don't put their money in by Friday, then they won't have a dress.

I'd say that to them...the one's to whom it is important will get their money in and the rest can go screw.

i agree

instead of saying that you are collecting the money, tell them the ordering deadline at the salon for your date is on (insert date here), let them know that if they do not go and pay for the dress and get measured they will not have a dress and it will be out of your hands. this way you put the ball int heir court without coming off like a jerk

The thing is they all live in different states so I was going to go to RK and order all their dresses for them and have them shipped to them (so there is no difference in shades, etc.)...so all I can really say to them is to have the money to me by Friday. I seem to get attitude when I say that but it's not like they haven't known.

I got my dresses from RK too... have them go to the website, fill out the ordering form, and fax it to RK. I have 4 oot bms and that's what they did. you shouldn't have to go there to order it for them -- RK will take their credit card and place the order together so they're all from the same dye lot!

so in that case send them an email, be like i just spoke with the salon and the last day to order so the dresses will def be here in time is x date, otherwsie there will have to be a rush fee. and tell them you need the money by then

I tried that approach too. Apparently calling and ordering your own dress is too much as well, so to ensure that it got done I offered to actually go and order for everyone but now it's turned into a disorganized mess....thanks for that advise though! Once I do get all the money, I'll probably just order over the phone myself instead of actually going into the city.

This is the same thing that happened to me .. I lost three BM's ... Two of which can get fukced!! I'll never talk to them again ...

Ew. People **** - Im sorry youre going through this!! Dont feel bad if by Friday you tell them to just forget it ... You shouldnt have to beg your BM's to get something done FOR THEM! Its not even for you.. Its their freaking dress..

And that's what I don't understand. My wedding is five months away and they're acting like it's no big deal, one of them even told me that my wedding wasn't everyone's priority...meanwhile i have NEVER asked any of them for ANYTHING (or at least anything that's outrageous)! Asked them to help me with some tasks, tasks still aren't done. Asked them to meet for lunch so we could all get to know each other, NO ONE CAME except my MOH and FSIL...I'm just tired of feeling like my BFFs could care less about my most exciting day...sorry had to vent
