Need bridal salon help!

I haven't been in a wedding party since I was 10 so I don't know the first thing about dress shopping for a bridal party!

My BMs and I want to go somewhere this weekend to start looking. Is there anywhere we can go that we don't need an appt for??

Also, do you just try on dresses that you like that they have there or do you give them actual designers and styles that you like?

Are the dresses just for you or for the BM's? It makes a difference. If it's for your dress, you most likely HAVE to make an appointment for a weekend. If it's just for BM's, none should be needed. Last weekend I took 2 of my BM's/little sisters to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place w/out an appt. it was no problem. They have a pretty good selection, but I think they are over priced. If you have the time, RK Bridals in NYC has an enourmous selection of everything.

Edited to add that you look pretty much on your own through the racks. The girls may ask you if you need help and put some dresses in the try-on rooms, but it's kinda self serve. If you have pics of what you want that's good, but not necessary.
