Hi! I'm going this week with my Matron of Honor to look at bridesmaid dresses and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Helens Bridal or the Wedding Center of Commack. I would like to make an appointment at one of them and I'm not sure which one. Or if anyone else knows any good bridal salons over in the Commack/Hauppague area because that is where we are going to be. Thanks so much for the help!

Helen's Bridal is wonderful. They are super friendly and helpful, so attentive and will spend all the time you need with them. I don't know about The Wedding Center, but I've heard some not-so-great reviews.

I've heard very good reviews of Helen's Bridal. Wedding center in Commack... not so much.
I used Dimitrio's in Macys in the Smithaven Mall and had terrific experience.

The Wedding Center in Commack seem so nice at the bridal showcases and then when you talk to other people that have shopped there, they say they are not so nice. It's a shame because they are a one stop shop.

I got my BMs dresses at the Wedding Center and they were very helpful (I fell in love with a dress that didn't come in a color I liked, so they contacted the designer and were able to get it in a color/fabric that wasn't part of the options shown by the designer). The place is a dump, but they do have a huge selection. Almost everyone I dealt with there was very friendly and helpful (although there was one woman - don't remember her name - who was not very friendly).

They are so helpful and friendly at Helens of Commack. A bridal attendant, I think her name was Ashley, even took me in the back room to show me dresses on the computer. Very nice, never pushy. Friendly seamstress too. Wedding Center of Commack- HUGE bridesmaid dress selection. BUT I would suggest going there JUST to see and try on gowns. Not to order. Very rude attendants. The woman 'helping me' (she did nothing) was insulting my bridesmaid choices. Plus the customer in front of me was disappointed with her bm dresses. She thought they ordered the wrong color and the woman just blew her off. (She showed me the swatch of what she ordered and it was WAY off) I know there are different dye lots and such, but it wasent even close.

I ordered my BM dresses at the wedding center in commack and didn't have any issues. I will say that when I went there myself to look at dresses they weren't helpful but ordering was a great experience. They came in super fast and they were all perfect. Not one issue.
