Need Decorating Advice, Please..
In our home, our living room and dining room are open to each other. No walls to separate them. In the dining room, we have whitewashed furniture. Now we are shopping for the living room furniture and don't know if we need to get whitewashed wood or if we can go a little darker like a pecan finish. We have beige couches so I think a little darker wood would look really nice but I am afraid to mix too much becuase the rooms are so close together.Any advice or suggestions??
Thanks,
Denise

Our new home has a similar layout. When we buy tables for the Living room, we will buy a similar colored dining room set. You may be able to do white washed w/a darker finish on top for the LR.Good luck.

As long as the style work well together, this should be an issue. Do you have any pictures?

Denise - my home is the same way - in the dining room we used cherry wood - and in the living room we used espresso wood - we felt it helped seperate the rooms
