I would leave it as is. It may look weird with the extra layers.

Thanks for the advice girls! I think i might go see it with a slip and see if i like it that way. Then if i dont i just wont get the slip lolol

I would leave it the way it is but you can always put a mermaid slip on underneath which pushes the bottom of the dress out. Can't hurt to try it..
