Need DSL - Please help!

Hi.

My DH wants DSL. We called Verizon and and they said service is not available in our area.

Anyway, does anyone know of any other companies that are around $30.00 a month, like Verizon.

I really don't want to spend $45+ on internet service a month.

You must live in a remote spot. I assume you don't want to pay for OOL. I guess the only other option may be Dial Up.

No, I really don't. I live in North Babylon right off 231. Not remote at all. In fact, our neighbors have Verizon DSL. That is why we were like What?? When I called Verizon and they investigated it, they said our phone line is re-routed to another neighborhood?? Blah blah blah. Then they tell us that it could take a year to get service for our telephone number....... ARGH!
