Need Favor Help...PLEASE!!!

So our original idea was to have personalized shot glasses, when we brought it up to FH's stepmom she said 'HELL NO' but in more words. Since most of his family doesn't drink anymore. So then I was borrowing ideas off of here like the honey jars and maple syrup jars and FH doesn't want to give out anything to eat and when I brought that up to FSMIL it was a 'OH' as in don't think so. Brought up bud vases she said 'do you know how many vases I have' so can I have some more ideas from all you creative ladies. I can't win for losing.
Oh and the only reason I don't just pick something is because they have started helping with some small wedding items.

There are so many great things you can do! I'm doing windchimes. How about candles? Picture frames? Little glass candy dishes?

Does your wedding have a theme? Is there something specific the two of you love that you can incorporate? Maybe an ice cream scoop.

Also, not to sound like a cliche' but this is YOUR WEDDING. Your FMIL had her own a long time ago. She should back off, smile and only comment if you are really screwing up (which you aren't!).

I heard about giving away little scratch off lottery tickets in these cool envelopes you can put a penny in. Inexpensive, exciting and fun!

You could also forget the whole favor idea and make a donation to your favorite charity. At each place, instead of a favor, you could put a little notecard that tells them about your gift in their honor. Classy, inexpensive and worthwhile.
