the favors we ordered finally arrived - personalized playing cards from theknot.com. they are adorable! i just have no idea how to wrap them!! they're the size of a standard deck of cards - so most labels will be too big.
any thoughts??

they came in boxes like a regular deck of cards, but the outside of the box is an ugly gold color. my first thought was to wrap in white wrapping paper and then use a label or tag in our wedding colors.

I like the organza bags!! Besides after wrapping mine, believe me much easier. I still want to go back and rewrap about half of them because I am anal and the seams are not perfect!

I don't think so. There are all different colors. If you think it will go to Michael's they should still be open, get one or bring it with you and put it in-- See how it looks!!!
I am sorry, maybe I am just not getting what you are putting on the label thing-- Is it your names and the wedding date?

what if you wrapped it in tissue paper and then put it in the bags? you could also attach a tag/label to the bag and you probably will be able to see through the bag but i have been at many weddings where the people can't wait to see what the favor is and open it right up on the spot!

swags - the labels i have seen have had the date, the couple's name and usually something about thanking everyone for sharing in their day.

If you wanted to wrap them, you could use tissue paper, with a wedding-ish design on it. (target has good ones) They are a little see through so the gold might be able to peek through. Tie a ribbon around the corners for a more finished look.

If you don't like the box, you can get a plain white box and wrap a nice bow on it. Papermart.com has some very cheap boxes and bows. For labels, myownlabels.com has some really nice ones in different colors.
Maybe what you can also do is if you ordered an extra decks of cards, you could use one card as a label - glue it onto a plain white box and maybe add a bow.....

I would put them in colored organized bags. 'Michaels' has a big selcetion of colors and sizes.
