I went to Royal Hideaway and DH and I absolutely loved it!!!!!
We've gone to many places but this has been our favorite so far. My DH is a very picky Italian and he thought the food was outrageous, each restaurant was great! The staff was wonderful, the place, grounds and beach are gorgeous. It was an awesome vacation and we would def. go back...
I loved that it was very upscale, men have to wear pants for dinner, they had afternoon tea, real cloth napkins on the beach and at the bar, saxophone player in the lobby, I loved that people greeted us Mr & Mrs. Last name, it was so exciting to hear it since you're newlyweds, etc
I know those aren't the most important things in the world but it just added to to the whole experience of the place, I really felt like I was someplace special and DH and I were treated that way....
Royal Hideaway is amazing! The food is sooo good and the service cant be beat! The resort and beaches are gorgeous! We went for our HM and have no complaints at all! The people there will do whatever they can to accomodate you and make sure you're happy!
ETA: its also adults only-majority of the guests there was either on their HM or anniversary which was nice!

We just got back from the el dorado royale. We had a great time. Everything was awsome except for the beach. It was pretty rocky (coral). Here are some pics.

If you book through the resort or their website, yes it is. But a good travel agent should be able to give you a much better rate. FM me if you need a recommendation. We were very happy with ours.

I thought it was very reasonable for an all-inclusive and one with such delicious food that you don't need to spend any extra $$ at outside restaurants which has happened to me in the past at other places
You fly into Cancun so the airfare isn't that bad either

I have only been to Royal Hideaway, but it's been my most favorite tropical vacation thus far! It is AWESOME!!!! The food is delish, the rooms are great and the service is unbelieveable. I wish I could go there now!!!!
ETA: when we went they gave us a 'day pass' to their sister property in Cozumel. We took a ferry there and made a day trip out of it. The resort in Coazumel did not even come close to how nice RH was, but it was nice to have the opportunity to see another hotel.

Thanks for all your feedback ladies...looks like the FI and I are set on going to Royal Hideaway - but it's the most expensive of the three!

I seriously HEART my TA (so much so that my review is on her site! ). Check prices on Discount All Inclusive and with Hayley at Beach Bum Vacations ...she's awesome and will find the best price - guaranteed!

I've been to the Rendevous - gorgeous rooms and friendly staff. We really had a great vacation there.

I know it's completely worth it...but do you think I can find it cheaper somewhere else???

Can you do without Oceanview? We did just a regular luxury room...Royal Romance Package for 10 nights...and yes, it is about $5K but it depends on the length of your stay.

Um yes, email or call my TA! Seriously, she rocks!
The difference is the location...not worth the extra money...go for longer if you can, the rooms are beautiful regardless but you don't go to RH for the rooms...the hotel as a whole rocks!
No private beach...it's all a beautiful stretch for all guests...each villa does have it's own private relaxation pool...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
