FH and I are considering going to Cancun for our HM in October. We have to stay at etiher the CasaMagna Marriott or the JW Marriott. Which is better? How was the weather? What about during October during Hurricane season?
Also, what different activities are there to do? How did you go about scheduling different excersions throughout your HM? We want to rent an ATV if at all possible, go snorkling, go to the ruins, and go para-sailing.

not sure about those places. however, i caution you before you do anything. i am believe many of the tourist areas were devastated this hurricane season, so you should see when they anticipate a full recovery!!

I looked through some of the other posts about Cancun and it says that most of Cancun will be up and running in January....thats 9 months before our wedding

I went to The Hyatt Caribe & Villas a few years ago and stayed in a villa on the beach. The Hotel offered most of the activities you listed. I loved it and would love to go back

Just be careful, b/c october this year is when it was hit by the bad hurricane - make sure you get travel insruance

I stayed at the CasaMagna in Cancun last December with my FH and it was beautiful (we usually plan a trip instead of exchanging Christmas presents). It's actually connected to the JW Marriott which has a lot of great restaurants which we took advantage of. If you want any more specifics, feel free to FM me.
The only thing though about October is that it's still hurricane season in Cancun so there's always a chance of another one.
