Not sure if anyone has been in this situation, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I am having issues with the designer that is in charge of my wedding. I have already seen 3 sample centerpieces and have disliked all of them. She is not understanding what I want and does not give me an ideas for what to do.
I'm spending over 3,000 on my flowers and she keeps making feel like im being cheap with my flowers and that everything I like it much more money.
The situation is not good. During my last meeting with her I was close to tears. The meeting ended on a good note, b/c her co-worker stepped in and gave me some good ideas.
Now I really want that person to do my flowers instead of the person I was assigned.
So my question is...do you think they work on commission? If they do you think it is possible to switch people?
I'm 2 weeks from my wedding and im freaking out.

I think you should speak up and say that the other person has more a feel for what you are looking for and see if it is possible that she collaborate with the one you are originally working with, or just flat out ask if she can take over your flower design for you.....it is your money and you should be happy! Did you try bringing in pictures of things you like, maybe that would help too?

I would switch. If you feel more comfortable with the other designer I would work with that person. I am sure they are all professional and they will understand.

call simple elegance in west babylon - ask for barbara. She is amazing and I KNOW she will be able to meet all of your needs. I do NOT have the number on me but she puts her whole heart and soul into everyones event. Call information for the number. They were also on NEWS 12 last week. Good luck!

You should be able to switch and not for nothing 3k is a great price for quality flowers. Flower Michele would be able to see your vision and also offer advice.

I used your florist also, and I would be careful because they carefully monitor this site (I was told so by the person I worked with there)...
You can FM me for details about my experience with them. In the end I was very happy with my flowers and received a lot of compliments on them.
ETA: I almost switched my florist about 1 month before my wedding also, however, I would read the terms of your contract. In my contract it states that I could be charged 50% of the price of my flowers... In the end I was happy, however I wasn't thrilled about my total experience there. Again, FM me for details...

I would speak up and explain nicely this person has more of a feel for what I'm looking for, it your day it should not be any other way than the way you want it. THat's is what i like about John form Flower Michele he listened to me and added his own ideas.

I would definitely speak up. you're spending $3000, not $30! you want it to be perfect and that's what you deserve, especially for that price. and if the person you have right now gets offended, too bad for her!
