A client of mine is having a little boy early November. I want to get him something of course...but not sure what? Any ideas for a personal but not 'too' personal baby gift?

in this case, would you wait for the baby to come to send the gift? She had her shower last week…I am not sure what her home address is though, and I know she'll be leaving work on leave within a few weeks. Is it inappropriate to send something to the office before baby gets here?
We worked with a girl who was going out on maternity leave and we all bought her gifts on her last day. She never came back from maternity and decided to stay home so I guess we made the right decision. I don't think there is anything wrong with giving her a little gift now.
