Need GOOD Place for Small (20-30) Bridal Reception in August, 2010
HELP!!! Need to put together a last minute wedding reception (ideally in Nassau County, South Shore) for 20-30 people at the ed of August. Hoping to do late lunch/early dinner on a Friday, August 20th so a place with a private room would be preferable. A small dance floor would be great, but not necessary. Any recommedations would be most appreciated.

Try Swan Club... They may be able to accomodate you... I know they have a small room with a dancefloor/bar... The food was spectacular and so was the service... pricing is also VERY good!
ETA: They are Nassau county but north shore

In Hewlett there is DiNicola's on Broadway and they have a private room that they can close off for you that will definitely fit 20-30 people, Mother Kelly's too which is Cedarhurst or La Voila - Cedarhurst too, in Lynbrook there is Angelina's, in Rockville Centre you can go to Cannon Blackthornes, Chadwicks, George Martin. In Garden City - Seventh Street Cafe, Waterzooi, Novita. HTH!!!

La Parma's in Oceanside...they have an upstairs room that has a small dance floor...good luck

Try La piazza in merrick , they have a room on the side of the restaurant that is completely separate and has a dance floor in the middle i believe. Also try the millerage inn , they have many rooms in the resturant that you can have a wedding in with a dance floor. Small cattering halls manor east- massapequa the sterling- bethbage stewart thomas manor- farmingdale galexy- lindenhurst.

Try City Cafe in Garden City. They have two party rooms - one with a dance floor, one without.
I think they usually charge like $35pp.

San Souci of Sea Cliff The Carltun's Great Gatsby room accommodates small parties.
