Girls who have been to Greece and travelled between the islands on a ferry - did you book the ferry in advance? My travel agent is telling me I should wait until I am there but, that they are very unreliable etc. I am worried about reserving a hotel in Santorini and not being able to get there...any advice?

Def. wait to book tickets for the ferry when u get there. I can tell you from experience that the ferry schedules are unpredictable. BUt don't worry that you won't be able to get tickets on the ferry. They are hardly ever sold out. WHat island r u going to and when? DH and I are also going to Greece this summer. WE can't wait!

Thanks! We are going to Crete and want to spend a few days in Santorini before going back to Athens. Do you think I should make hotel reservations now even without having the ferry? The TA freaked me out that we may not be able to catch a ferry and we will be unable to get our money back for the hotel...

Personally I would skip the ferry and recommend flying. It's not that much more money and you're on the islands within a half hour-45 minutes.

WHat month are u going? I would love to go back to Santorini. This year DH and I are going to Milos for a few days and then going to Kefalonia. I would also recommend Corfu. It's soooooooo beautiful there.
Crete is next on our list. We've already been to Corfu, Rhodes, Santorini.
