Need Hall Ideas

Hi Everyone! This is my first post and I'm so excited to be part of this site. Congrats to everyone!
My fiance and I are planning a December 23, 2006 wedding. We are looking at Brentwood Country Club, but have heard mixed things. Please, please let me know of all of your good/bad experiences with them. If anyone else has any inexpensive suggestions I'd appreciate it as well.

Welcome to the boards! Congrats on your engagement! This site is so informative and addictive!

I went to a party at BCC a while ago so I wouldnt be much help in that dept. but you can do a search on it and get some help there too!

Give everyone some ideas of what you are looking for in a hall and we can narrow it down..
like suffolk, nassau, on water? etc...

(I was engaged on Dec. 23rd 2004...the date you want for your wedding )

Someone did a review of the Brentwood Country Club just recently in the Brides Review section. She loved it, so don't let other people deter you if you like it.

December 23rd must be a great day then :)

Well, we live in Nassau, but are willing to make it in either Nassau or Western Suffolk. We are both in school still (me for my BA in ed and he for his masters) so budget is really really tight.

And i thought December was supposed to be inexpensive! Seems like everywhere I call wants atleast $70 and up (which isnt bad, but I thought you were supposed to get great deals in the Winter).

there are soo many halls on li and queens. i've never been to bcc, but do a search and check out what other girls have said about it.

I've been to a wedding at the Brentwood Country Club and honestly, it was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding. The food was really, really good!!

There was just a review I read on the Brides Review board about the Brentwood CC. Do a search to find it. I think she loved it!

Congrats and Welcome...another 2006 bride.
Well Ive heard very good things about the BCC. Ive never been there...but ive heard all good things about it...

Welcome and congratulations and
I don't know anything about the BCC - But I am a December Bride as well so we did all out looking this past Dec. so I would know what the halls looked in at that time of the year - The Meadow Club had good prices they include a lot and the food is good - the lobby is beautiful there is a firer place a nice big Tree is all white lights and a piano you should check it out -

I went to a wedding at the BCC a few years ago and it was a really fun wedding and the food was good. I had looked at them too when trying to find a hall. They were very nice, I just wanted an outdoor cocktail hour that also had a patio available( we have a few elderly guests and our wedding is in the middle of summer). You should go to an open house. I am having my wedding at the meadow club. They are very nice and their prices are great.

Try Tall Grass Country Club (way out east) but super affordable right now because they just opened. For December I think the prices were 55-63pp!! And Janet the woman there is sooo sweet. Also, I have a wedding in May at BCC and I will let you know how it goes. Best of luck!
