Ok...So I registered for this Bentley Down Comforter. Here is the picture of it. Am I supposed to put a duvet cover over it or leave it as is?
Here is the description:
The ultimate in luxury, a 1000 thread count cover of blended 50% silk and 50% cotton keeps every puff of down in its place and cloaks you in sublime comfort. Baffled box construction keeps down from shifting and produces a wonderful loft. Full/queen with 52 oz., King with 62 oz. Dry clean.
We registered for a down coomforter with a duvet cover. Although, I have a down comforter on my bed right now with no cover. Since it is white, it gives the room a fresh look.

Re: Need help
Ok...so explain this to me. If you are supposed to put a duvet cover on it, then how do I benefit from the 1000 count thread count.

Re: Need help
the duvet cover is over it, but YOU are under it. So, the 1000 thread count feels nice on you

Re: Need help
you don't need to put a duvet cover over it but- it will get expensive bringing it to the dry cleaners to get washed
Usually down comforters are in duvet to cover them, protect them, and it is much easier to wash the cover -
you might want to look at the down comforter better because maybe it has a cover on it already that you can wash
My favorite ting in the winter is to use the cover like a sleeping bag and climb inside
