Need Help

I am appearing on Discovery's It Takes a Thief. They are filming it tomorrow. I want to prepare a little.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can say beyond the regular I feel victimized and violated speech people give?

What would you say to the person who robs you? What questions would you ask?

Help! I need insightful things to say about home security. I don't want to look like an idiot.

I don't really know. Myabe you can jot down a few points on all of the different ways a robbery can affect people, like a flow chart. Maybe you can come up witha few 'domino effect' things that way, and think of some ways people are affected that may not be obvious. I can't think what right now, but i think EVERYTHING has a ripple effect

Just be honest and say what your feeling AT THAT MOMENT..

I have seen the show,,and I think after you watch someone break into your home and go through your personal belongings you most likely will say 'I feel violated'.

Thanks girls. It is my house. I don't really think I will feel that much considering its not a real robbery and I know I will get my stuff back.

If you are planning to have children you might say that you want to plan ahead to help you ensure their physical and psychological safety, as well as your property. As much as a robbery would be traumatic for us, it would be much more frightening for a child.

I think I've seen this show.... but it's actually a burglary that they do, right? (Burglary is when no one is home - robbery people are home) Maybe you could ask what would happen if someone WAS home, or if someone came home while the burglary was in progress... what would be the right things to do to scare off the burglars and maintain your family's safety?
