Due to my FH new job we are not going to be able to go on a honeymoon longer then 2 days. WE were thinking about staying local or going to the Pocono's. When I looked up vacation spots into he Pocono's they all looked so done up. Red rooms, whirl pool tubs. I wanted to stay somewhere a little bit more classy for our short honeymoon. Please ladies any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: need help
How about a bed and breakfast? I went to one in Mystic, CT a few years back and it was really nice. I've also heard good things about Newport, RI.

Ooooooo that sounds nice or Martha's Vineyard/ Nantucket? Maybe a nice resort up in Upstate?

Re: need help
It was a while ago (I think about 9 years ago) that I vacationed in the Poconos and we stood at Brookdale on the Lake. It wasn't all 'done up' and honeymoony like the other resorts. It was really beautiful, quiet and sophisticated. We stood for 4 days and had a great time.

Going out to Montauk would be nice. I also stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Jersey which was a lot of fun. You could also maybe got to Lake George. Although, a 5 hour drive may be too long for a short vacation.

Hmmm...two days...how about a bed and breakfast out east by the wineries. Romantic and fun!
