I'm in desperate need of help. I had all my vendors booked until this weekend. When I signed my contract with my florist we discuss a certain budget. On Saturday we went to her to discuss colors and details and she gave us a ridiculous price. Now she states that most of the things that I had asked for were not included in our contract. So now I'm out $500 and no florist. Does anyone have recommendations for a good florist?

Anyway, I'm confused - they didn't state what you wanted in your contract? As far as what flowers/colors/number of etc? Was your price quote listed in the contract?
If all of this was listed, then they are taking advantage of you, and I would demand that $500 back.

Sorry your going through this, but alot of the girls on here are using National Floral Wholesale. (800rosebig.com) I have heard lots of good stories of them as well as good prices. Try them out. Good Luck Sharene

This doesn't make any sense. All the florists, except Burtons, that I met with wrote out exactly what we discussed on the estimate. Burton's doesn't do this because they have an 'any flower one price' policy. I can't imagine signing a contract without all the same, if not more details. Who was this florist? I'm still looking and want to make sure I avoid them.
Also, consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against them.

OMG!! Cindy!!! that is horrible!! i am so sorry!! i have not done my flowers yet - but a lot of people use pedestals, flowers by brian, flowers by michele - good luck with one of them.
