Need Help

Hi girls! I never really introduced myself but believe it or not I've been a member here for awhile. I had to start a new name again because of nosey in laws who like to stir the pot for no reason and I guess get the inside scoop into what we are planning for the wedding. So Im far from a newbie. Anyhow, we had some tragedies this past year and we've deceided to once again put the wedding back another year. We contacted the hall yesterday and they were great about it. I just feel so bad like it's never going to happen. Being that we eloped last year because of family issues, I understand that it's really not an urgent thing but I've just waited my whole life for it. Has anyone else had to do this? I really need some encourgement here.

I postponed I was supposed to marry last Dec. ...but we pushed it back to this Oct. I was upset,disappointed. but i got over it and figure everything happens for a reason. Cheerup! your big day will come, it will be here sooner then you think!

We originally had it planned for May of 06 and then we just got so fed up with his family that we eloped and moved the wedding to June of 07. Now because of other situations we are moving it to June of 08. When we got married we deceided to get married on the date we were planning the big wedding so the big wedding would be like an anniversary. Now I also have to think about changing the date because other wise it falls on a Sunday and I really wanted a Saturday. Anyhow, I really appreciate the opportunity to vent and having some understanding opinions. When I try to talk to DH or anyone else about it they dont understand.

Even though you had your heart set on Saturday, IMO, the date (not the day) is more important. Since other people are already interfering, I would do my best not to let them take that away too, and just do it on the Sunday.

I'm sorry sweetie, I can understand your disappointment. I know 2 different couples that had to postpone their weddings. Everything turned out beautifully in the end. We're all here for you

Thanks, I think the inital shock is passing and Im starting to realize this is okay and it will work out better in the end. Atleast I still have something to look forward to and not have to cancel it all together.
