FH came home early today because he's sick. I just got home 1/2 hour ago and he looks so miserable, I have no idea what to do for him. I offered to drive him to the ER, he said he'll just be sitting upright for a long time, he rather stay home and lie down.
I need help, I don't know what to do. I never had to take care of someone before.
here are the symptoms: light headed, stomach pain, diarrhea and lost of appetite.
any suggestions????????

Well, I know this is not the case, but that sounds like one of my hangovers
I always feel better after I sleep it off. If i'm too sick to sleep, I take a tylenol PM and it knocks me out and I'm all better when I get up. Good Luck and I hope he feels better.

That is the cutest thing I have EVER heard. Your FH is one lucky man to have you!! Instead of hiding, you are looking for some ways to help.
Go with the old chicken noodle soup and crackers and some ginger ale to help settle his stomach. Offer to rent his fav movie and just chill with him on the couch.... Your mere presence will make him feel better!
ETA: force him to eat something... at least some crackers and ginger ale...

he could have the flu its going around but make sure u give him lots of fluids like water and see if he can get some broth or soup down. with the diarrhea he could become dehydrated and that can cause more problems so just keep up on the fluids and just let him rest.
hope he feels better soon...
if it lasts more then 24 DEF take him to the doc.

he probably has a virus i wouldnt worry too much...make him go to bed and check him in the morning...if he still doesnt look good ...call the dr. for an emergency appointment...HTH

Aww, I hope he feels better soon. Make sure he drinks lots of fluids, because if he has diarrhea and gets dehydrated, he'll feel even worse.
You're so sweet to take care of him like this! He's one lucky guy to have you.

Yeah, it sounds like he's got a bug or something. Maybe it was something he ate? Everything the girls said, especially the keeping him hydrated part, is exactly what you need to do. Good luck! And keep us updated!

I hope he's feeling a bit better now!
Make sure he drinks lots of water... and good idea Kim... the Gatorade might help. He's light headed because of all the water he's losing (diarrhea). Fluids and some electrolytes should do the trick!. It sounds like he's having a reaction to something that he ate.
Once he passes it all out... he should feel better... I hope so!

I got him to drink two glasses of Ginger ale, he still refuses to eat. we watched clicked, he laughed, I cried and now he's watching the game and falling asleep.

If he has a fever then its the flu most likely if the fever lasts in the night and he is very incomftable then take him to his regular doctor (no er unless something horrible happens because he will wait for hours there). PLENTY of fuilds and only food should be dried toast, plain hot cereal, plain soups/broth, tea and water.
Regular doctor will probably just say the same thing unless he starts blowing out green snot then he needs a antibotic

Definetly get him to the doctor tomorrow. Kepp him hydrated-lots of fluids. Hope he feels better.

yeah def dry toast aqnd gatorade....you can make him pastina too...that usually helps me

He's still in bed, but the fever is gone. He continues to refuse to eat, saying he's not hungry but he will try to eat lunch with me

yeah, his appetite is gonna be shot for a bit, but have some saltines around and maybe some gatorade so that he has something in his stomach. You're doing good shell!!

He sound like ye has the stomack virus that I'm just getting over. Just give him a lot of liquids and some aleve, advil or what ever he takes make sure it's cold and flu. He should be find in a day or two. Get in pracitice for the future
