Re: Need help again, my fellow Catholic brides...

Remember that you do NOT need to be confirmed to get married in the Catholic Church. Some Priests like to make up their own rules, but there are rules set forth by the Dioseise (sp?) that must be followed. I discussed this with my Priest and he told us that anyone bapitized a Catholic is allowed to have sacraments in the Church and that some Priests like to enforce their own rules but ultimately that is NOT allowed. So if you have a problem, call the higher-ups in your area (Rockville Center for most of the LI brides) and discuss it with them.

To be married in the Catholic Church you just need to be bapitzed, but if you are going to have a full mass (includes Liturgy of the Eucharist), then you need to have recieved Communion. You do not need to be confirmed in order to be made in the Catholic Church. I know this is true because I have been very involved in the parish (the place where I am getting married) for the last 14 years.
