Need Help - Bridal Gown Designer

I am getting married in nine months and I do not like majority of the dresses being shown.

I am looking for something that is NOT strapless, not too much beading and more of a narrow A-line. Any suggestions on where I can look? they are showing a lot of lace and beading this season - not me. I am more simple...

Why not look at bridesmaid dresses? A lot of them come in ivory and they tend to be simpler and less expensive than wedding gowns.

Check out Watters--they have more than a few dresses that are fairly plain A-lines without a lot of frou-frou, especially as you hit the back of the online catalog. Or, as someone suggested, try a bridesmaid's dress. Alvina Valenta has some gorgeous dresses that come in ivory and off-white. Or, try Jenny Yoo. You can make any of her bridesmaids dresses into a wedding gown--the only annoying part is she charges extra for dresses in white and ivory, supposedly because she takes extra care. Which makes me wonder why she's not taking as much care with the $400 green and blue dresses. If you see what I mean. It's a bridal surcharge, and that sort of thing makes me angry. However, her dresses are very attractive, and even with the bridal surcharge they're affordable at $700-$800 for a silk dress.

Edit--
Oh, and I've heard, although not experienced it myself, that some salons won't let you order a single bridesmaid's dress in white or ivory. Which is wrong, as they're still getting the business, but I've heard it from several places. You might need to shop around.
