Need Help choosing Venue

HI!! Im super excited to be finally starting the wedding process as Ive been engaged for almost 2 years already. The reason we were waiting is because of cost. Were looking to have Sunday sept/Oct 2014 wedding with our budget set at 15K.
My top 2 contenders are The swan club in roslyn and The Riviera of Massapequa. I want to book really soon as Im nervous of securing a date. Does anyone have any input on these 2 receptions? Were hoping to keep the cost per person down so we could invite more so if you have any other suggestions . Really appreciate!

My cousin got married at the riviera Nov 2012 and it was awesome! Loved the bridal suite looking out onto the dancefloor. The food was awesome! I thought the location right on the water was so gorgeous though, i have no idea what she paid per person. Good luck!

I am on a similar budget as well. We looked at both places, but we couldn't agree. I fell in love with the swan club! I think the ceremony area is beautiful and I loved the gardens and the price, I just didn't love more than 1 wedding at a time. Are you set on those 2 venues? If not, I would recommend looking at the Lessing's venues. They have an all inclusive, but we decided not to do it. But even without doing it, we were able to stay way under our budget. Whatever you decide will be great!!

If you like venues on the water take a look at chateau la mer in lindenhurst. That's where I'm having my wedding on a Sunday. the staff has been excellent so far. Ask for Robert or Lou! Have fun & good luck on your search.

Thanks everyone for your input.. Just wanted to update I booked at the Swan Club and IM SO EXCITED.

They were quoting me the same price for a aug/sept wed but Riveria was throwing in more extras. The reason I decided against it was because Ive decided to increase my guest list and my mom thought people would get squished feeling in the riveria. although I do love the room...

I loved The Swan Club as well. We were going to book there, but Sandy hit, and we had to spend deposit money on repairs. But that place is gorgeous! Wasn't thrilled about the more than one wedding at a time, but I really wanted the grounds for the pictures.
