I cant decide whether or not I want to have my makeup done by someone the day of the wedding or just have my sisters do it for me.
I just cant justify having the makeup people come all the way to my house to just do makeup for me and pay them a ridiculous amount of money.
I can go to the Chanel counter, buy all the makeup for the same cost, my sister can do my makeup and then I have it all for touch-ups throughout the day....
I know most of you girls are having your makeup done...is there anyone who isnt?

I had my make-up done by a friend of DH's step-mother. Granted, she has done people's make-up before, I didnt pay her and she did a wonderful job. If your sister knows how to do make-up and you feel comfortable then go for it. Have her do a trial with you one of these days and see what you feel. I also had a problem paying someone a ridiculous amount of money when I knew I could find a regular person to do it for me for much cheaper or free.

I was going to attempt to do it myself but I feel it wont show up much in the pictures. Why not go to the chanel counter and ask one of the girls if she does freelance work. It would probably be cheaper than a regular wedding makeup artist

is your sister a BM? I was thinking about having my sister do my makeup and shes a BM but then I realized that she would take most of her time doing my makeup and then have to rush to get her makeup done.
If you do not want to pay for someone to go over, can you go to the chanel counter and have them do your makeup before the wedding? That way you can just buy the makeup and have your makeup done by a pro. best of both worlds :)

i wasn't going to get it done but now i am. however, yesterday i took a makeup class in the city i had already set up. FM me if you want their info. i loved it and the girl who did it. they use great makeup, you get gifts and extras so I def thought it was worth it. after deciding i didn't want a MU artist i found a really nice and good one so i'm using her, but had i taken this class before i might have booked them for onsite, even though their prices for that are on the high side.

I was kind of like you, I love doing my own makeup.
But, I had an airbrush makeup trial, and I love it more. Thats something I can't do myself.

I wish I could have done my own (it would have saved a lot of money) but unfortunately I suck at my makeup! lol..I used oksana..she was awesome!!!!

My make up artist offers a free trial and her day of fee is very reasonable...$85. IMO you want your make up for your wedding to be extra special...not just like any other day. FM me if you want more info about her...she's awesome.
