I put a $50 deposit on one of these dresses today (just to take advantage of a 10% discount) and want to make sure I made the right decision. Please tell me which of these dresses you like better. The first one is a Richard Glasgow, the second is Ines de Santo--they're pretty similar I think but the picture of the Ines might not do it justice. Thanks!!
ETA- now the 2nd dress is up.. I really like #2-- love the shape of the dress- I would go with that one.

I'm not crazy about the criss-cross thing on the second one, so I would go with the first one, which I love.

Re: Need Help!!--Dress Poll
I never thought buying a dress would be so confusing for me. I only went to 2 bridal salons and I keep thinking 'shouldn't I be trying on more dresses?' but at the same time, if I've found 2 dresses I really like, what's the sense in shopping around? Second issue is that FH said I didn't sound as excited about the dress I put a deposit on as the one I originally liked. He thinks I might be settling for the one I put a deposit on because there's a $1000 price difference between the 2. Now he has me second-guessing myself. Maybe I need to try on the other dress one more time, to make sure. If I lose $50 it's not the end of the world, right? But still, this process is so...

Re: Need Help!!--Dress Poll
I know the second dress would make me look 'hippy' so my choice would be dress #1. As long as your hips aren't prominently widened in dress # 2, I think it would be lovely.

I'm very familiar with the 'hip-y' issue The consultants said I could change the triple pleats on #2 so that they started on the side instead of the front, giving it a flat front look. I just wish they could give me an idea of what that would look like.

I love #1... but then again I'm not a fan of the dark embroidery on #2... just MHO.

Re: Need Help!!--Dress Poll
It's really funny that the poll is now tied--I guess that's proof that they're pretty similar! As for the embroidery on #2, the photo is not that great--surprising since it's from the designer's website. In person, it all looks white and sparkly with the Swarovski crystals. It does make me a little concerned about how it would photograph though.
