Need help finding a band (music)...

Hey Girls! First of all I want to say how much I love this site. I feel like I have so many new friends! I first posed this question on the vendor board but we are still looking for suggestions. Who knew that when I said 'Yes' that it would be this much work to actually get married!!!

I am trying to find a 4-5 piece band to play our day wedding on August 14th, 2004. We are looking for a 'classy' jazzy vibe with plenty of old fashioned charm (ie- Frank Sinatra). While we are not looking for any modern party music (ie- disco or contemporary hits) to be played, we still want a band that is fun to dance to. Tall order I know, but suggestions would be greatly appreciated (please respond). Thanks!

Haven't decided on anyone yet. My FH and I are not agreeing with my parents on what type of music to play, and my parents are paying for the wedding. They are all driving me crazy!!! I barely even care at this point. My FH wants jazz and my parents want disco party music. I don't know what to do!

Check out Times Square Orchestra (TSO ) they are great - my parents were the same way and love them. They can play a really great mix of music

Try PrimeTimeLive. They have a brass section and are excellent. www.liparamount.com.

Gerard Carelli (1800gcsings.com)is GREAT and would be a super compromise (but $$$$). They could play what you and your FI want but throw in some of what your parents want. Someone on another board is using BLue Tones for jazz - but I know nothing. Also, isn't someone on here having a swing theme wedding? I wonder which band she is using.
