I grew up in and am getting married in NY, but now live in DC and FI and I are trying to find a church to get married in. My parents' church is booked, so we're trying to find one that will marry non members and is available on our date- June 23, 2007. I'm protestant and FI is catholic- we're hoping to find a protestant church that looks sort of like catholic churches (so FI will feel comfy!) Does anyone have any recommendations? Our reception is at the Swan Club, so we'd like a church somewhere not too far from there, but we're providing transportation so a bit of a drive is ok. TIA!

Re: Need help finding a church!
Hi there. How about the First Presbyterian Church of Oyster Bay? Oyster Bay is less than 10 miles from Glen Cove, not too bad at all. The church is located at 60 E Main St, Oyster Bay, NY 11771.

Actually, presbyterians are protestant- protestant is sort of the blanket name for non catholic christians, so presbyterian definitely works. We usually go to a presbyterian church, so it's a great suggestion- I'll check it out. Thanks!

Re: Need help finding a church!
Also, do a quick search using the term 'churches in Glen Cove'. That took me to a local yellow pages type site that had churches throughout Long Island! That should help too

Thanks girls- I'll try checking them out! We found one that FI loved, but they only marry members. :(
