Need help finding a location for Rehearsal Dinner location!!!!

Okay, the rehearsal is going to be on Saturday June 24 at 3:30, so I am looking for a place to have dinner at about 5pm. I am RACKING my brain for places. Here is my criteria...

1-CHEAP, since FH and I are paying for it (with some help from my brother). It will be for 31 people. Ideally as far under $1000 total as possible!!

2-The church is in Queens (Richmond Hill), but I am thinking of having the dinner in Western Nassau b/c the majority of those attending the rehearsal are going back to Long Island.

3-Prefer a place I have been to, but not necessary. And prefer Italian food (LOVE Italian food).

PLEASE!! I want to book thsi darn dinner already!!! Thanks!!!!

ETA: The cheaperst place I have seen is Sizzler, this was FH's idea...please ladies, nothing against Sizzler (b/c I LOVE their salad bar), but I don't want tmy RD at Sizzler!!

This might be a little ways away from Richmond Hill but we had ours at the White House in Whitestone - 35 people and we paid just under 1K - the food was delicious, the service was excellent, FM for more questions.

try nick diangelo in Merrick. i just booked my dinner there, and the price is pretty reasonable and they have great italian food, served family style.

some ways you can save money is by just getting a package that serves food only and bringing your own wine. if you bring your own wine ask about a corkage fee. it works out cheaper b/c most restaurants do a 150% markup on liquor.

if you need more details about what i booked FM me.

Try La Viola -- there is one in cedarhurst and one in syosset, that is where my sister had hers.
Cant think of any others
Why don't you do some sort of brunch instead? That will definitely cut down on the price.
