Can anyone please point in the right direction of finding a plus size Wedding Dress. I do no want to walk into a place and be embarrassed when they don't carry my size (24/26) I want to try on dresses and get a feel for them I have no idea what I am looking for fabric silhouettes really anything. My fiance says he can't picture me in a wedding dress because I am a tom boy. lol I want to shock and awe him at the wedding!
Any tips and advice on where to go would be appreciated!

my mom had a wonderful experience at the wedding center in commack! they have a TON of sizes!

I went to the following places and they all had dresses for me to try on. At the time I was a street size 22. Davids Bridal Fantasia Bridal Helens of Commack Paradise Bridal
I wound up purchasing from Paradise.

I had a great experience at Lestan Bridal in Brooklyn (I am from Suffolk). The drive wasn't bad and all of their gowns are plus size but regular designers like Mori Lee/ Maggie Sottero. I would give them a call and ask them how many dresses they have in your size.

My sister was plus size at the time of her wedding and bought her dress at Bayshore Bridal. I remember her trying on plenty of dresses!
