Need Help Finding Reception Locations

I need help! I have been looking for reception locations and I'm having a hard time finding any that meet my criteria. I have found just a handful. These are my criteria: on the North Shore in Nassau or near border of Nassau and Suffolk, one wedding at a time, able to accomodate approx. 170 ppl, and not too expensive. Do any of you girls have any suggestions? Thanks!

Getting married at Stewart Manor CC. It's in Garden City, holds up to 200, you are definitely the only wedding there, and it's under $100/person with tax and gratuity!! A must see!! It includes centerpieces and cake as well!! Here's the website...good luck!!

I know The Harbor club is on the north shore and only have one wedding at a time. I think they are in Huntington though. They are the same owners as John Anthonys which is where we are getting married. I can only say great things about the service. It might be worth a look. We did john anthonys because we are South shore boaters and we wanted to be able to pass by the place we got married when out cruzing. (Sappy I know lol) Hope this was a little helpful

Not sappy at all! It's just that we have a lot of people coming from the city, out of town, and my family lives there so it would be more convenient. And one less argument with my mom!

Smithtown Landing Country Club. It's in Smithtown on the Nissequogue River (You can see it depending on the season) One wedding at a time, can accomodate up to 200 people. Had my wedding there on 9/15/01. The cost then was $62 pp for a Sat. night wedding.

you should check out the North Ritz Club in Syosset. It is a one wedding at a time reception hall located in Syosset. I am getting married their myself. I love it. Keep in touch!

2003bride, I have an appt. at North Ritz this weekend and will be meeting with Ida. Who did you deal with? The renovations look great!

We looked at the Harbor Club in Huntington. It was nice and you can do a cocktail hour outside overlooking the water but you could also see the dumpsters in the parking lot from the deck. You might want to try Sail Harbor in Bayville. It is a little out of the way but it is right on the water and not too expensive. The people that own it also own the Carltun (in Eisenhower) and the menu's are the same. We had our wedding at the Carltun and the food and service was great, so I would expect the same at Sail Harbor.

I'm getting married at Sans Souci of Sea Cliff. We are having about 160 people. They are right on the water on the north shore of Nassau county. They only have one wedding at a time and they're really affordable. Check out their website www.sanssoucicaterers.com - It really doesn't do the place justice - it's much more beautiful in person.

blushingbride2003 I dealt with Christina she ws wonderful. They are all very accomodating at the North Ritz Club. I fell in love with the place the moment I walked in it. I love the fact that it is completely renovated. We definately wanted the new place in town!

HI, I am planning to go to see the place this weekend. What does it look like? How much does it cost on a Saturday night and what does it include. I would appreciate any details you could give me. I am very excited.

Re: 2003bride

I didn't book yet. They are already all booked for every Saturday night in September 2003!! I couldn't believe it! I was so bummed! I don't know what to do now. I really have to think about alternative dates if I want the NRC. What did you think about it? Are you going to book with them?

The North Ritz Club seems to definitely meet most of your criteria. I'm not sure what you mean by reasonably priced. If your looking for a Sat. night I found most decent places pretty expensive. I'm getting married at the North Ritz in Nov. and I chose a Sun. I feel I got a very deal for what I was getting and I am so looking forward to it. I dealt with Christina and I liked her. Good luck and I hope you like the place as much as we did. They seem to be becoming very popular.

Re: Need Help Finding Reception Locations

bride2003- I am getting married in September and it is on a Sunday. I dont know about their Sat. Night prices because we were not considering a Sat. I found them very reasonable and fair. I went to many other halls and did not find the elegance that I found at the Ritz. The great thing about them is that you are the only bride there. That is definately a PLUS! A friend of mine also just booked the Ritz and she told me they were very limited on their dates left. Definately check it out and see if that is what you are looking for. I hope you love it as much as we loved it.

I love NRC too but I do not like the room downstairs if you have to have an indoor ceremony.
