need help finding song for father/daughter dance

well i seem to be lost trying to find the perfect song for my dad and me.. my FH does not have any parents but still wanted me to dance with my dad....with that being said, i wanted to try to pick a slow song but not too sappy and sad, and kind of a quick song so my FH feels comfortable..

can you girls help me with some ideas??!!!

Did you try asking your dad if he had anything in mind?

I am using 'I Loved her First' by Heartland.

I can't say anymore what is sappy and what is not since too many songs make me tear up these days.

My dad made it a bit difficult--it was either WAY slow or just something out there. We both love Earth, Wind and Fire so we were really close to just picking one of their songs and dancing.

I second this. It is a great song, not to fast and not slow and sappy. My sister used it and my dad LOVED it.

I'm dancing to Kind and Generous by Natalie Merchant...from me to him. It's a little more upbeat, and not so sappy. I am so not 'Daddy's Little Girl' and we don't have that kind of relationship.
