Need help for a location

Hi ladies,

I just set my date for August 2004. I am so lost already! I live in Lake Grove(Suffolk County, NY) We want to have a beach wedding. I am looking for some kind of empty hall. I have someone catering it for us. I have someone doing the tables and linen and decor. I just need to find a place to have it at. It would be nice if there was an empty hall near the beach. If we had to we could go somewhere near by. We really want to do a beach wedding. I guess it wouldn't matter where the hall was. I have been doing web searches and keep coming up with halls that all full service. Anyone have any ideas? I have no clue. I have only lived here a year and bearly know the names of places and towns.

TIA if anyone can help me. ~Holly

Barbara at Country Weddings: 516-496-2339. She specializes in renting out estates on the Island, mostly out east. I didn't end up using her because we didn't want to go too far east (Nassau Church) but she's very pleasant and has many sites to choose from.
It can get pricey but if you already have a caterer and equiptment, that stuff was extra from the site fee, it should keep the cost down. Good luck!

I know I went to a wedding like that at the Ronkonkma Beach Pavilion. It is right near you. I don't know if it is still there or not. But you can check the yellow pages and see.

There is a park in Nisseqougue called Long Beach. I think you are a Smithtown resident, there is a pavillion in the park. There is a parking charge, but you also may be able to work something out with the town. I do agree however on the Ronkonkoma Beach Pavillion, my friend just went to a party there and said it was really nice.
