need help for bachelorette party club

At this point I am pretty much planning my own party because my MOH is swamped with schoolwork. We are doing dinner somewhere in the gramercy park area, then on to a champagne bar for a tasting, and then for the girls that want to stay out late, to a club for dancing.

Can you suggest a good dance club somewhere in the gramercy park area? Nothing too 'young' because most of us are 30+ and I don't want to be smooshed against a bunch of college kids.

well actually most of the big clubs are right by it. In the 20's by 10th and 11th ave are ALL the big clubs, so you can just go up a few aves. You will get a mixed crowd, i mean there is marquee, home, guest house, mansion, prime. Marquee is one of those places that you get there and theres HUGE lines to get in, so call ahead. There are ppl who are young but then older too, and you have a very mixed crowd so depends. Prime is the same way, i know alot of ppl in their late 20's who go there but you will get a young crowd. Just about any big club, you will have it very mixed. You can always go to a smaller type club or more of a lounge. Maybe try the gansevoort hotel rooftop bar, theres also 230 5th rooftop, but even with these will be a little mixed.

Pink elephant you do have a bunch of ppl there who are a little older well not old but alot of celebrities and what they consider the 'IN' crowd in manhattan. The door policy is very strict

just depends on what type of music and atmosphere youre looking for. I know that the promoters at guest house are in their late 20's and alot of people they have partied with their whole lives always go to wherever they promote, and also other promoters, and all those ppl i know who go there are intheir late 20's, early 30's. Wont guarantee that there are no young ppl though

ETA: will also depend what night you go, whether friday or saturday. Each club, there is a different promoting company that does either friday or sat, thats why when you go to a club fridays can be so different from saturday. The promoting company is the one who sets the mood and atmosphere of the party. So each club a friday can be better than a sat or vice versa and also can be a younger crowd on lets say fri but sat have an older crowd. So just giving an example of guest house, on friday one promotion company does the party for that night and the next night another company does the party. Also sometimes there are certain events at clubs so youll want to find that out ahead of time. Such as a certain dj playing that night, and that can bring a certain type of crowd bc alot of heavy partiers follow dj's and will go wherever they play. So even though it might be what you like most of the time, another night you can have jonathon peters there spinning the classics and that might not be your crowd, it would be more of the old skool sound factory crowd
