Need help from my Brooklyn girls!!

Need help from my Brooklyn girls!!

I need to find a MOB dress, nothing over the $300 range, and preferably someplace that has a location in Brooklyn. All I have been finding is pants suits, and my main problem is my mom is short (5'0') and a size 16.

I tried Estelle's, and found something gorgeous, but you can't return anything there, and I was not going to accept that. I would be willing to look on LI, Queens or Brooklyn, as long as there's a Brooklyn location she can return it to if there's a problem.

Thanks in advance!!

The only place I can think of is totally you In Belmore they have all the dresses that you see in the bridal shops but in cash and carry. But I do not think they have a Brooklyn location.

Try 86th Street - Effie's has dresses for petite women.

I'd also suggest La Boheme in Bay Ridge (5th Ave and 85th Street)

There's a bunch of stores on 18th Avenue between 75th Street and 70th Street

Also, New Utrecht...

The world's your oyster...

My mom got her dress from Cache - Staten island Mall

I have the perfect place! There is a evening dress store in georgetown mall in Canarsie. It is about 2 blocks up from lestan's. I gurantee you will find something there. I do not know the name of the store but it is two doors down from Joyce Leslie.

Funny you mention that place, I think my mom was talking about going there, so I know where you're talking about. I'll have to go check it out on Saturday.

it's called dresses for less... i got my e-party gown there.. you would never think to check there.. but it's a hit or miss kinda place.. and they are very reasonably priced.

She can try Valentina's on New Utrecht and 76th Street. My mom got her gown there and it wasn't very expensive. There's another store on Avenue U that we looked at...I think it's called Ninnette's but I'm not sure. And my best friend's mom got her MOB gown at Doris on 18th Avenue and 70-something street, also not very expensive.

That store in georgetown is called The Dress Club. I am sure you can find something there. The only thing is you can't return there either.

The name is Christines. They have a great selection as well. I also think Charisma opened back up on Ralph Ave and N.

I was just going to reply with that store! My mom got her dress there and she looks gorgeous in it! We live a couple of blocks down and thought it was funny that she looked all over the place but found a dress so close.
It's called the Dress Club and it's in the Goergetown Shopping Center (which is also the neighborhood). Their number is 718-209-9316
They also do alterations.
