i need to organize my guest list to include names, addresses, # invited, #coming, who i sent STDs to, etc. i'm hoping it can update #s automatically so i don't have to add it each time.
what's the best program to use? i tried using the one on the knot, but it doesn't have everything i need.
can someone send me a template or describe what they did??? is there a website? should i just make a spreadsheet??

Re: Need help--how did you organize your guest list?
I have an excel sheet with columns for names, street address, city/state/zip, STD, etc.
I was able to import the names and addresses easily into Word for addressing the envelopes for my STDs. I'll do the same for the invites. It saved a lot of work and extra typing!

Excel spreadsheet with columns for different things. You can put formulas in to add the #'s up automatically. Makes life much easier!

Re: Need help--how did you organize your guest list?
weddingchannel has a tool that lets you include addresses and will tabulate numbers of guests broken down in categories (brides' vs grooms', yays/nays, a-list v. b-list, invites for diferent things, whether or not you've sent thank you cards, table/seating numbers, etc) and will update itself automatically when you make changes. it also conveniently lets you save the online information into an excel file

Ditto. Excel is the best. I also have a program called 'I Do', but it is a lot of work. I use my Excel spreadsheet much more.
Good Luck.

Re: Need help--how did you organize your guest list?
Maybe I am a computer retard...but I have the hardest time with Excel I can't ever figure out how to get the text to wrap around in the box. So, I used good ole' Martha. I cut out and copied the page with the template for the guest list. It had all of the info I needed
