Need help!!!!!!!!!! Is 3 hrs enough time for a bridal shower???

Need help!!!!!!!!!! Is 3 hrs enough time for a bridal shower???

I went to a restaurant yesterday to see if I will have the shower there but unless I rent out the entire back room I could only have the shower between 2-5pm. With 30 min. beforehand to setup.....Is that enough time??????????

If your guest arrive on time yes but I think you are cutting a little close and if you have games that takes up time. I think is 4hrs just right.

Unlike my guest when I say 2pm they show up at 5pm. I have to tell them 2pm Eastern Time not Pacific

I thought it would be too close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really love the food at this place but to rent the back room is just a bit expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking for a latin/south american restaurant that has good food. Looking for like a sunday brunch or lunch in June. If I could have a private or back room that would be perfect.

Honestly.. Play it SAFE... People are always running late.. I reccomend a little more time..

When I did my MOHs shower the place gave us 3 hours and it was NOT enough. The poor girl couldnt even eat b/c she had to start opening her gifts! The place made us leave and there were a few gifts that she didnt get to open. I would try to get it for 4 hours if you can.

I had a feeling that would happen............and I really dont like to be rushed!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont do three hours because you wont want to rush it..... Have you looked into Cozymels in Westbury, they have a back room.

Cozymel's and the pricing is great. Are you looking in Nassau/Queens?
I know LOADS of Latin Restaurants but most are in Queens and Manhattan.

The fabulousmady had her shower at a Cuban restaurant. Maybe she can help

I know Mady had hers in jersey...I want to stay in queens or brooklyn and not the city since parking will be an issue.

You have to consider how big your shower will be. I think my shower was about 2 hours, maybe a bit more, but I also had a small wedding and therefore a small shower (less than 15 people). So that means less time opening presents, less time eating, less people to socialize with, etc. I think 3 hours sounds good if you are doing a basic sit-down meal, time to open presents, time to play some games, time to just chat and thank people for coming...

I plan on having 20-25 ppl come and if ppl come late or if it goes longer than 3 hrs I have to leave cause the restaurant seats for dinner and I have to start exactly at 2pm since the brunch ends then and the back room will be empty.

I just hate getting rushed and I want time to setup and not worry.

If you don't have many women attending it may be ok.....the more gifts the more time you need

Its resolved!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be booking the back room for the entire time!!!!!!!!!!

I called my BM and told her about the issue and she said they will pay for the additional cost of booking the room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soooooo thrilled!!!!!!!!!!

I hate being rushed so we can start decorating at 11AM with brunch at 12pm then go to 4pm and have some time after to just linger and not feel rushed to get out till 5pm.

I really hate looking for another place but I did call some others to see if I could do it there.

I have Donna's scheduled for 1-4, with 41 guests invited. Perhaps it would depend on how many guests are at your shower and how long it would take to open gifts? Mary MOB
