NEED HELP making a decision!!!!

I would LOVE to have a dias...the bp and fh and I sitting at one table...at the reception....but with every reception pics i have seen on this website...NO ONE does this anymore.....

Does anyone have a pic from a recent wedding, where there was a dias???

hi kim!! how are you girl! not many people do that anymore, it is much easier to to sit bridal party with thier other half or people they know, usually just the bride and groom are in center attention.

My wife refused to do this because she didn't want to upset the dates (AND husbands/wives) of the bridal party by sitting them all by themselves and with people they didn't know.

But you can do whatever you want since its your wedding.

My best friend did this at her wedding and we are doing it at ours too. She had all of us, the bridal party, sit with her, her husband and our dates. It was great! We sat at a big long rectangular table all of us were on the same side, looking out at all the tables. Everyone loved it. Hope this helps. Sorry no pic

I'm sitting on the dais with my FH and the bridal party (most of them are couples) are going to sit at other tables together. I think I did a great job of putting them together. No one will be without their significant other

I know its def old fashion...and a lot of girls dont do it anymore.....but i want the OLD fashion wedding....and i want my bp to be with me.....isnt that what i picked them for? Thanks girls....now i know im not the only one ...thanks!!!

I was recently at a wedding where someone's FH was in the wedding party, and they sat him a table for the wedding party, and his FH had to sit by herself at a table where she didn't know anyone. Neither one of them were too happy.

We aren't having a dais, but we are having a head table, where we're sitting with our MOH and her fiance, BM and his girlfried, FSIL and her bf, and another groomsman and his wife. We didn't want the sweetheart table, and we wanted to sit with some of our closest friends. Can you fit your whole bridal party at one of the Carlyle's oval tables?

Anthony & I had our own table, which was NICE. We sat the bridal party all over with their family and friends so everyone felt comfortable and had a good time.

I too recently attended a wedding where my FH was part of the bridal party and I was sitting with a bunch of people I didn't know....I have to be honest in saying that it wasn't much fun.

I also want to sit with my bridal party (and their guests). I am going to ask my hall to make that happen. If not , the bridal party along with their guests will be at the tables closest to our Dias

That's why I think it's better to seat your bridal party with their dates, that is not fair to ask them to sit apart....JMHO

I too recently attended a wedding where my FH was part of the bridal party and I was sitting with a bunch of people I didn't know....I have to be honest in saying that it wasn't much fun.

That stinks.

I guess I would recommend putting yourself in your bridal party's shoes. How would you feel if you were w/o your FH or DH?

We did the same thing and were actually thanked. I know I would want to sit with my DH if I was in a wedding...the bride and groom should enjoy being together, IMO, it's more enjoyable that way...but it's YOUR wedding - YOUR way!

I think that as long as your bridal party's guests can sit at the table too it is a great idea.

I was in a wedding last year and we were at a dias and all of our dates were at another table - it sucked!

THat happend to me. FH was in a wedding and he sat at the dias, and I was at a table where I didn't know anyone. It was really boring and I couldn't have fun.

Same here!! I was in the wedding party and sat with the bridal party. FH was miserable! I ended up pulling up a chair and sitting with him anyway...

No one will be with husbands...and at the current moment all the older ones are SINGLE!!!
