Need help on final decision for venue!!

Ok, so my FI and I have narrowed it down to 2 finalists. Westbury Manor and Chateau Briand. Any testimonials about these 2 places would be a BIG help! Which one do you like better? Thanks guys~!

YAY Westbury Manor. Thats where we'll be. I just liked the old country mansion look better than the modern glitzy Chateau Briand. CB is really pretty, but its just not me. And FH loved WM too.

They both have completely different looks. I like the cozy, mansion-like feel of Westbury Manor much better and the gardens there are beautiful. Chateau Briand is beautiful too, but it is too contemporary for my taste, it is very bright and loud (referring to the decor). I don't think you can make a wrong decision with either one, it depends on your personal style. How do you envision your wedding day?

PS The food is great at both places.

I have to agree with the others. They have 2 diff. feels.... It depends on what your taste and style is. Country vs. Contemporary. They have equally great service, so IMO it comes down to style.
(but for my 2 cents.... WM!)

I am bias, since I am getting married at WM. But I agree the two have totally different looks. CB is more modern. IMO- FH and I liked the old fashioned Victorian atmosphere at WM and I fell in love with the peacocks!! The grounds are so pretty. However you definately can not go wrong with either choice. The food and service will be great at both. Go with the one that feels right! Good luck and let us know what you decide.

totally biased....WM...I've been to a wedding at CB though and it was also very nice. It depends on the look you're going for...but like babybride mentioned I LOVE THOSE PEACOCKS!!!

It was so cute when we went to check it out, a peacock was just chillin on the front steps.. as if to greet us.

Like everyone else has said, they are 2 completely different styles. Since they are both Scotto Brothers places, I think the food & service would be about the same. I personally like WM better. CB is very pretty, but is not my style at all.

I'm an art deco girl so my vote is for the CB.
Like all the other ladies said, it depends on your taste.

Wow, thanks for the input. Seems like majority of you are for WM, but I definitely agree it depends on taste. I am slightly more towards WM too, but I also want a Sat. PM event, and I think WM is better for an afternoon affair b/c of the beautiful gardens. For those of you that have had it their, how was your banquet manager? I got the feeling they were not as nice as the other places banquet managers. But that could just be because I came at a busy time???

I have been to 2 weddings at the Westbury manor. One in the winter and one in the summer. The summer wedding was absolutely beautifu. The cocktail hour was outside. That was my favorite part

I have to agree , WM. I was only there for a formal in college but it was very nice, I like the look there better the CB. I have been to a wedding and a christening at CB just not my style. It all depends on you to. I think your hall should fit your personality if you are all about glitz and glam then go for a hall that is that way. We choose The Riviera in Massapequa because it was simple yet pretty and not overdone just how we like it. Good Luck.
