Need help on Garter Toss and Cake Cutting
I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and they didn`t do the traditional cutting of the cake and the garter toss. I have spoken to a few people and they said that this was the new 'trend'. A lot of people aren`t do this any more..... Are you ladies having the cake cutting and garter toss???? Is it silly????? NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Need help on Garter Toss and Cake Cutting
It is all your choice because it is your's and your fiance's wedding. Whatever traditions you would like to include and exclude are up to you. I had the cake cutting but no garter toss. So elect the anniversary dance to create their own tradition it is up to you. Good luck.

What I did........
I had the cake cutting, but did the anniversary dance. My husband still took the garter off me, but then the couple that was married the longest got the bouquet/garter. Then, the husband put the garter on his wife (which was my aunt and uncle). everyone LOVED the idea.

Cut the Cake but no garter toss
We looked at our guest list and realized a majority of the guests were either married or engaged. We had so few single friends so decided not to do the garter toss. However we did the cake cutting. I suggest you review your guest list and see if you have enough single people. One other thing to consider, it might be embarassing for the women that are single if there's only a few of them. Some may not want to be singled out. Just a thought.

Cutting the cake but no garter toss...
and i'm not sure about the bouquet toss b/c not many of my guests are single any more - and i don't want any of my single friends to feel awkward on the floor. I think I'm going to dedicate a bouqet instead to my grandmother and one to my FH's grandma

Need help on Garter Toss and Cake Cutting
I threw my boquet from the steps of the church - my 12 year old cousin got it. We cut the cake but did not do the garter toss. I actually did not end up wering a garter for some reason I couldn't find it on my wedding day. My sister tied a blue ribbon inside my dress for something blue instead of my blue garter.Welcome New Vendors
