need help planning trip to greece!!

any TA recommendations? or does anyone have advice on flights to crete?

thinking of stopping over in athens on the way to crete, and maybe another country on the way home (italy or UK)

any help or recommendations ?!?! please?!?!

I see you both are getting married at the SandCastle! Thats (so far) my #1 choice!!! My FH and i are going to see maybe one more RH and then mostlikely booking with SC!
I dont know much about the honeymoon, i am hoping they let me use it in June instead of my wedding date in Oct.

Def def def stop in Italy! I love Italy...its utterly romantic. I love all of italy, but rome, capri & florence are gorgeous. Florence is my favorite city.

I didn't have a good time in Athens....DH & I went for our honeymoon and it was a week after the bank bombing so things were still intense while I was there at the time.

we are stoppin in athens b/c our friends family has a house there, so they will take us around. or at least thats the plan right now....

It was scary at the time, but now I'm glad I was there. But the restaurants in Plaka are amazing, and they light up the acropolis at night & our hotel had a rooftop bar & pool and its such a cool feeling, being in this crowded, crazy city, feeling a real sense of the world could end at anytime, then seeing the acropolis which has been around for centuries, it was very romantic.

My aunt lives in Athens, so I wouldn't say DON'T go to athens, but I just was so taken off guard b/c I wasn't expecting to be right in the middle of the riots.

Santorini is GORGEOUS....
great shopping, great food, great views, sunsets, very very romantic.

I still think you should def consider going to Italy. Florence is amazing, if you go, climb this church called 'The Duomo' (There's one in Milan, and there's one in Florence.) But its really really amazing, there's these paintings of heaven, hell, earth, redemption painted on the ceiling, and when you climb to to top & look down at the city, it feels like you're in heaven looking down at the earth b/c its so high & all the other buildings look so small. Ha ha. Sorry for the tirade.

you can go to crete
or santorini , mykonos, paros - there are like 12 surrounding islands you can hop around in the santorini area.

another place is rhodes.

crete has some nice hotels they dont only open in june,,,,,,,,,,,,,try starwood hotels in crete (american owned)
