NEED HELP PLEASE........

(eta: please read my other thread about the attack in my building, so you can get more of an idea)

I really need to put together a petition for myself and my fellow tenants so we can give it to our management office. They need to see that we mean business about everything that's going on in this building...(its NYC housing)...these are just SOME of the issues we've had to deal with recently:

- no hot water, or no water at all (ongoing boiler issues)
- urine in the elevators (used to be daily, now its like 3-4 times a week)
- vandalism (broken windows, littered elevators)
- vagrants sleeping in stairwells (ewwwww)
- crack viles in back stairwell
- last but certainly not least, the attack in the building!!!!!

now, anyone who knows this area would never believe that this is what's going on here!! but its true. the beat cops used to call these buildings the 'beverly hills of nyc housing'...but we are so far from that now its ridiculous!!!!! we need help!! I'm trying to put together a petition to get everyone to sign it so we can give it to management, but I need help wording it.

any legal eagles out there, or just good writers, that can give me some good pointers and what to say to get some positive results....TIA!!

I would get in touch with the Daily News- they love to expose this sort of thing. I think somewhere in the paper there's a list of people who run the paper along with a number for story ideas.

She's right, call the problem solvers (fox) or Daily News or Shame on you(ch2.). YOu should mnot be putting up with that stuff.

What abou t getting everyone in the building to call 311 on the same day? Make a flyer to slip in there mailboxes or under thier doors.

both good ideas!! thanks! I especially like the idea of everyone calling 311 on the same day!! maybe even during the same time like 12-1pm...can you imagine how the phone lines would go crazy at 311!!!?? that would be great!!
