I'm originally from NY and moved to Ma a few months ago. Got engaged on Xmas and am now trying to plan a NY wedding from 2 states away. If anyone can help me with hall ideas I'd greatly appreciate it! It will be roughly 80 people or less and I'm looking to get the most bang for my buck!! It's almost impossible to get an idea of these place's just by looking at their websites.

I'd recommend doing research on a few smaller halls, booking them all in one weekend, and coming to visit for the weekend.
I definitely think that you won't gain a realistic idea of the hall unless you actually visit. MA isn't too far, and it's your wedding!

not sure but i think jt wont accomodate that small but i could be wrong.

I´m planning my wedding from South America so I know how you feel!! If you need any help at any time just FM me. I know it can get overwhelming at times.
In my case I was on a super strict budget and was only guaranteeing 50 so I started by calling around and getting the best price quotes. I then narrowed it down and had my fam go check out a few. I had to book my hall site unseen because of the time crunch (and being too far away to just up and go).
If possible I would not recommend doing that! I went through a lot of uncertainty/regret/nervousness about never getting to see the hall. My fam took pics for me but it isn´t the same.
If you have someone you can trust its still a good idea to have them scout a few places for you, take pics, and help narrow it down. Then just come down and see them before making your final decision.
You mention 80 or less. Have you decided what number you plan on guaranteeing? The halls are gonna ask you that because that influences the price sometimes or even if they´re willing to book.
