NEED HELP, PLEASE!!!

As you girls know...I picked out my dress last month. I found it cheaper at RK Bridal, but haven't gone there yet to buy it or even buy it online.

I contacted Doris Fashions today to inquire about my dress and bridesmaids gowns I am thinking of. I spoke to a woman who was SO helpful and called me back so many times to be more of help.

So I asked her about the bridesmaids gowns...and she said $120 a dress (SCORE)!! Then came my dress, she said the designer discontinued to it. I was on the verge of tears, but she said she would look around to give me more opinions and call me back.

NOW, I looked EVERYWHERE for my dress a few hours ago online, and I only saw one site (madamebridal.com) that said it was discontinued. I emailed the designer to see if this was true, and didn't receive a response yet (2 hours ago). RK bridal still has it on their site, and so does some other sites (not sure of the other online sites are authorized dealers, but RK bridal is).

How would you approach this issue? I have a feeling that Doris buys the dress on madamebridal.com and sells it that way. But, how can I really know if my dress is discontinued?

Please help, please!!!

I am partial to RK Bridal since I got my dress there--Reed (the owner) is absolutely wonderful and so are all of the girls that work there...
If you must go to the other place ask her where she orders from...otherwise, I would reach out to RK Bridal...

I tried calling them yesterday and today, the automated system answers, and then they say to hit 'O' and I do, the repeated message comes on again. I contacted the aleration department and was told to contact the main number. So no help there :(

Yes it is still there, I emailed them. I haven't heard back. There is no # for them listed on their site.

This. Who's the designer? If it's still up on their website, there's a good chance it's not discontinued. Also check whether Doris Fashions is listed on the designer page as an authorized retailer - if they're not, they're getting the dress indirectly. You can try calling the designer (on Monday, probably) to ask about it too.

From what I've read on the boards in the past, designers keep making a discontinued dress for a period of time to fill their outstanding orders. If it's been recently discontinued, a bridal store can sometimes call the designer and get them to make one more. Alternately, if you are roughly sample-sized, you could buy a sample.

The designer is Davinci. And Doris Fashions is an authorized dealer as they are listed on the Davinic site. Another bridal place had it that I tried it on, but was about 400 more than RK Bridal. And the only sample that the dress was in when I tried it on was a 15 and that was too big. I am going to keep searching. I pray I get this dress, it is the 'one'.
