Need Help--re: LCD TVs

Hey girls:

I've decided to buy FH a LCD TV as a wedding gift. He's dying to get one! It's going to be for our bedroom and I want to get a 17-20inch. Also, it has to be HDTV compatible. Any recommendations?

Thanks

FH has been doing TONS of research on these. Check out the Panasonics- they are top of the line right now. ALSO- wait until right after the holidays to buy it, since the prices will drop drastically.
Also, check out Sears. In our experiences they are the most knowledgeable about the products, and they are flexible with their prices- since the work on commision. Plus they price match.

We're getting a 50' Panasonic delivered any day now. I can't wait! It's HDTV compatible. FH did a lot of research and found this one to be really good. He must be right - he tried to order it from 3 different places online and they were sold out. If you go to Best Buy's website, you should see all the different sizes of LCD tvs.

Does all you components have component video jacks? Make sure the monitor is 1080i ( interlaced ) and has 720p (progressive) . On interlaced the rate is 1/30 for display and progressive is 1/60 , which is better. Find out how many channels you are able to get in HD from your cable provider. Also find out what box they offer you . For TWC depending on the model it will or will not be compatible with 720p. Make sure it has S-Video ports for input if you aren't going to use component video (RGB). Find out how many inputs you have and how many for RF ( cable signal ) . Most have 2.

FM me with any other questions.
