hey ladies, with approx. 4 weeks to go to my wedding, i saw my e-pics and they were NOT good. first of all, the photographer made u wait for over an hour and then it kinda went downhill from there.
so, have any of you used photographers that you would recommend that are NOT LIW vendors? i need someone decently priced (since i am losing my deposit) who's still available and most of the LIW vendors are booked, or am i screwe d?

I am so sorry that you have to deal with this and sooooo close to your wedding. I don't know of any photographers that are not LIW vendors, but I would still try and at least call the liw vendors. Also ask for quotes from the vendors helping brides boards, that will also tell you who is free. Duet gave me an amazing price and I LOVE their work, they gave me the best price, I meet with at least 6 photographers. Best of luck!!!

I'm really sorry that happened. That's terrible.
Try Duval in Wantagh. They are not a vendor on this website. I am using them for my wedding. They are very helpful and I loved their work. Their price could not be beat either. You can see my e-pics in my album. Here is their website:
Try my photographer---North Island Photography. I wouldn't say they're inexpensive, but they're really great. And, you never know--maybe they'd be willing to work with you on price.

i know this is reeeeeeally out there, but maybe try craigslist? there are always a gazillion photogs out there who are just getting started and maybe you could luck out and hire a good one? you'd have to really do your research though! hugs for you!!!

Try Patken - they are awesome. Decently prices, depending on what you're looking for. My epics came out great and my proofs from the wedding took less than 3 weeks!! It's worth a shot! BTW - I got married at the VYC on 9/16 and it was great! you are going to love it. Good Luck!

Craigslist or try ACANDIDIMAGE. Thats who we went with-the only issue is u only get 500 proofs back as opposed to the thousands by other photgraphers but the photographers are good. Most of them work through ACandidImage as well as well as free lance. Our guy was awesome. Al Ojeda. You can go through him directly as well. We paid 1800 for 8 hrs of photography, him and his wife (2 photographers) and 500 proofs as hardcopies and on a CD which we could reprint ourselves. I did have toe dit some of them in photoshop but for the most part they were great as is. pics in ym album. FM me for details.

Did you talk to your photog on how you feel about your e-pics?...if you don't communicate nothing will happen - in his mind right now he did a great job. The reason I'm asking because i don't want you to loss your deposit - maybe if you talk to him he will understand your concern.
But if you are really concern, try our photog - Creative Compositions. We had Dave and Jovana.They were great, creative, friendly and punctual (they are the one who actually waited for us for both e-picts and wedding)
